Background:

A group called the Nada Freedom Front has resorted to acts of terrorism to press their demands for an independent homeland.

Their leader, Aba Cada, was captured after a shootout in the capital, Nadaville City, and jailed for life by the Nadastan authorities in 1990. He is in Nadaville City Prison.

The Nada Beach Hotel is an extremely expensive resort-style development located on a private beach on the city’s waterfront. It room rates are in excess of US$1,000 per day. Guests stay in luxurious cabins and each cabin has its own butler and maid.

It is a celebrity haunt. Guests have included rock groups, such as the Falcons, The Lolling Bones and the Chimpanzeez. Actors including Rad Ditch and wife Angela Pretty, the Late Princess Denise and the singer, Belladonna.

How do this often forgotten part of the Hong Kong workforce cope with the situation and the stress that follows? For them it's not a matter of being able to buy an extra car or not - it's the matter of being able to sustain their families back home with money for survival - or not. The subject will be handled by an overlook on the situation and interviews with laid off workers. Diane today hinted me about a weekly rally being held at State Sq., Central, where ex-migrant-workers gathers as some kind of social event every Sunday. Should be perfect for information.
